§ 6-165. Violations.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to willfully cause a false alarm. A violation of this provision shall be a misdemeanor punishable as provided in G.S. 14-286.

    (b)

    Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished as provided by North Carolina General Statutes, Section 14-4, and shall be fined not more than $500.00 or imprisoned for not more than 30 days and shall be further subject to the provisions of North Carolina General Statutes, Section 160A-175.
