§ 6-2. Fire limits.
The fire limits of the city shall be as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of Ruffin and N. Fifth Street, thence south along N. Fifth Street, two blocks to the northwest corner of N. Fifth Street and Center Street, thence west along Center Street one block to the northeast corner of Center Street and N. Fourth Street, thence south across Center Street and the Southern Railroad to the northeast corner of Center Street and S. Fourth Street, thence east along Center one block to the northwest corner of Center Street and S. Fifth Street, thence south along S. Fifth Street to the S.W. corner of S. Fifth Street and Wilson Street, thence west along Wilson Street to the southwest corner of the city hall and fire station property, thence north along the western property line of the city hall property to Center Street, thence west along Center Street to a point 100 feet west of S. Third Street, thence north across Center Street and the Southern Railway to a point on the north side of Center Street, thence west along Center Street to a point approximately 120 feet west of N. Second Street to the property line between Standard Oil Company and the J.S. Fox property thence north along the eastern boundary of the J.S. Fox property to Clay Street and thence across Clay Street directly north one block to Ruffin Street at a point approximately 120 feet west of the intersection of N. Second Street, and thence along the south side of Ruffin Street in an easterly direction to the starting point.
