§ 32-32. Definitions.
The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
Cable television system or CATV system means a system of antennas, cables, wires, lines, towers, waveguides or other conductors, converters, equipment or facilities, designed and constructed for the purpose of producing, receiving, transmitting, amplifying and distributing, audio, video, data and other forms of electronic or electrical signals, located in the city.
City means the city in its present incorporated form or as it may be changed by annexation.
Grantee means the party or parties to which a franchise under this article is granted by the council, and its or their lawful successors and assigns.
Gross revenues means any and all payment, in whatever forms, exchange or otherwise, derived from the provision of video and audio cable subscription service in the city.
Subscriber means a recipient of cable television service.
